Thats nice! Very sleek. Lots of features & cheaper too :(
I've been looking closer on the web for more information. I don't see WiFi capability, or applications like Skype or Google-Talk. It looks like it will require a subscription to a service which will make it more expensive than the Mylo. :( I still like my Mylo. :D

that thing will blow the mylo out of the water. It is like a Sony mylo on steroids. Sure the mylo has wifi but at 802.1b it is not that useful in most cases. The helio has the numeric keypad which is something I hated that my Mylo didn't have.
Only downsides I see is that internal memory is less and no Wifi. That and you may have to sign on with a cellular service but still...it looks better and seems like it functions better and I haven't even used it yet!
I agree. This thing rocks me.
BUT,
The biggest bonus for me regarding the Mylo is
NO monthly fees, AND WI-FI
I don't want to be locked into a contract.
More apps. would be great, and perhaps Sony
will release a firmware worthy of being downloaded
now that this thing is out there.
If I were to daydream, it would be a cross between these
two devices.. (with a little more from Ocean ;)
Steve
PS. The double slider wierds me out.

This phone looks amazing...but once again, no Wi-Fi. Who wants to be tied to a plan when it's not necessary. I am a gadget freak, but there comes a time when it gets far to expensive to have the best technology, because a month later something else rolls out that is better than what you already have. There are a lot of great products out there. I'm at a point right now that I am just praying for some firmware updates since I have no intention of switching to anything else.

I 100% agree with you!
How could they forget the Wi-Fi function?
We are in Year 2007! This is a must have!

Wow. This is REALLY nice (and cheap), but have you seen the monthly prices? DANNG! There cheapest plan is $65 bucks a month! I barely rack up 50 min on my regular cellphone. I wonder if they have cheaper prices?
as soon as my contract with sprint is up i'm getting one of those, and switching to Helio's services.... 65 dollars a month for 500 minutes and unlimited EVERYTHING else. I pay almost the same thing now, and i don't have all the unlimited texting and all that, so it's a really good deal, and it is exactly what i wished the MYLO would have been.... i still have hope for the MYLO since sony has been doing all their surveys ect. but it looks like this will be the end all electronic i buy this year.
EDIT:
@Infection That is for unlimited everything + 500 Minutes, go to the Alacart option and you can get it for 40 a month.. as long as you don't use texting and all that... but what's the point of that phone if your not gonna use the hell outa the data plan side of it, which ala cart will cost you like 2 cents per kb you use, which would kill you. 25 extra for unlimited web, messaging, and GPS and all that is a really good deal. I have a friend who has had another Helio phone for a while, and it's network speeds are awesome, and if this can do BlueTooth to a laptop, as soon as you figure out the Code to swtich it into network mode you can use the internet from your laptop over bluetooth to the phone.

I like the Ocean. I'm planning on selling my mylo, and buying one once my cingular contract goes up.
u think this is COMPETITION for mylo??
the mylo is like a rock in front of this
btw can we put SIM cards inside this for calling and can the SIM cards be from any country? I CAM'T FIND ANYTHING IN THE INTERNET
The Mylo is not a GSM device, no SIM can be used. Only on wireless networks.
but it says that we can call by using it!
if thats not it, then what IS the use of the phone-type-keyboard???
Yep, calls via Skype.
Keyboard = messaging/text editor/general text input ??
Something I've always wondered about bluetooth phones: can you surf the net on them and your bluetooth enabled device, or just one or the other? Not that it matters, just something that bothered me
there actually really bad they freeze do much my girl friend had 3 and they all just screwed up. the mylo is way better
