O god. Display issue.

O god,

Ok im just alittle upset about this. Is there a way to turn off the display for the mylo while keeping it on? normally when i listen to mp3's i turn off the display of the player to conserve battery life and its just a overall good habit. why should a screen be on that is not used? its starting to bother me. For example, what if i wanted to stay on aim and keep the mylo in my pocket so that if i got an im i could instantly get to it while doing other things. Why would i do that with the screen on? it doesnt make sense. its a waste of battery power. Ok well basically, i was wondering is there a way to do this on the mylo 2? on the psp you would just hold the brightness button, what about for the mylo?

You can turn the brightness down in the settings menu. Also, Put it on hold, and put it in your pocket. The display turns off after a minutes or two automatically if you don't play with it.

thanks for your reply. I tried what you said but for some reason the display wont turn off after a whole song duration which is about 3.45 minutes. I tried putting the mylo 2 on hold and tried it both on a level 4 brightness and a level 1 brightness. Still there is no change in the display. If i do not touch the mylo while it is in level 4 for awhile, it just dims. My goal is to actually turn off the entire screen display (backlight as well as the actual display) to conserve power as you would with a psp by holding the brightness button which completely turns off the screen while keeping the unit powered. With the mylo it only seems to dim or i can set the brightness very low, but never turn off the display completely without turning the entire thing off. Is there something im missing? is there a special key press or setting to help trigger the display to turn off?

Mine does turn of the screen in less than 5 minutes when i have it locked and the buttons aren't being pushed, There is no button to switch off the screen, as of now. That could be added as a function of the display button with a firmware update.
