Mylo - No Flash or Java

A Sony source has mentioned that the new Mylo (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/7e102ft1zt0GJIJKOPMGIHLKPMQP) will NOT be able to handle Adobe Flash (previously Macromedia) or Java in the Opera browser (http://my.opera.com/operaonmylo/forums/?myloforums.net).

The Mylo (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/7e102ft1zt0GJIJKOPMGIHLKPMQP) having built-in Skype (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-2123785-10424196), Yahoo! Messenger (http://messenger.yahoo.com/?myloforums.net) and Google Talk (http://www.google.com/talk) for internet calls and instant messaging is a benefit, but the more popular forms of instant messaging, such as MSN (http://get.live.com/messenger/overview?myloforums.net) and AIM (http://info.aol.co.uk/aim/?myloforums.net) are not included.

Many questions on the MyloForums (http://www.myloforums.net/?blog) are about using the Mylo (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/7e102ft1zt0GJIJKOPMGIHLKPMQP) via websites like Meebo (http://www.meebo.com/?myloforums.net), MSN WebMessenger (http://webmessenger.msn.com/?myloforums.net) and AIM Express (http://info.aol.co.uk/aim/aimexpress/?myloforums.net) which allow the user to connect to different messaging services without downloading and installing the actual messaging program. We have learnt that AIM Express will NOT work, due to the fact that it uses Java Applets.

We are still waiting confirmation from Sony about Meebo and MSN WebMessenger - updated asap!

The lack of java support really is throwing me off. Mostly due the the fact it has java in the OS. Maybe it was a miss information. And lack of Flash support might be fixed in an Opera update.

If the mylo isn't able to support web messengers like meebo, I'm not so sure if I still want to buy one.

Since the most used messenger I use is MSN. Maybe yahoo would work on the mylo. I dunno.

Unaiza - the Mylo can handle Yahoo! Messenger.

Tron - the information i got was from Sony. The lack of Flash support is probably due to the Opera browser. Like the PSP, with future system/firmware updates the browser should hopefully handle Flash & who knows...even Java 1 day... ;)
